As an Account Manager at Finerva I help companies manage their finances, from daily bookkeeping needs to filing accounts.
I support my clients with in-depth knowledge of VAT returns and VAT implications, revenue recognition and monthly reporting.
Before going into finance and accounting I worked in hospitality for almost ten years. From an Office Manager role I started taking on bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities until my job evolved into a Finance Manager position. That is when I started my ACCA qualification.
I then joined a manufacturing company as a Payroll Manager before moving to a Finance Manager role for an international recruitment company.
Since starting at Finerva, I mostly worked with services companies in sectors such as PR and recruitment, but I also support SaaS, e-Commerce and digital services businesses.
What I love about working with Finerva is the flexibility of my role – which as a mom is something I treasure and probably couldn’t do without – but also the human relationships and interactions that I get from working with some truly inspiring companies and entrepreneurs.
Whilst I admire entrepreneurial spirit of all the Founders I’ve had the pleasure to work with, the name that I carry with me is Adam Solomon. He is one of the founders of LiquidChefs, a top end mobile bartending business which has assignments all around the world and where I worked for almost 4 years. The ‘what would Adam do?’ question always comes back with a positive outcome.
My 4-year-old keeps me busy outside of work, and I recently started sewing his clothes as a hobby. I’m passionate about photography as well as hiking, cycling, travelling… anything you can do outdoors! I’m also a branch treasurer and sling library volunteer for NCT (National Childbirth Trust).
